Local information
Tullycross Cottage is just inside the southern boundary of Loch Lomond and
Trossachs National Park, on the outskirts of Croftamie, and two miles south of
the pretty village of Drymen.
Croftamie and Drymen
Croftamie has a post office
and a
local pub which serves meals all day. In Drymen you will find more shops and
eating places, a library and lively church.
The
Drymen Show, an
enjoyable day out for all ages, will be held on Saturday 29th May 2010.
This is Rob Roy Country, packed with history and beautiful landscapes. Stunning
lochs and rolling hills. Some of the best golf courses in Scotland, excellent
fishing and brilliant walking.
Walking, Climbing and Cycling
The West Highland Way passes less than a mile from the house
and there are many excellent local walks. Climb Ben Lomond,
The Cobbler and Ben Ledi.
The house is on National Cycle Route 7. Bicycles can be hired from Drymen.
Loch Lomond
Enjoy the islands by
steamer, rowing boat or by post boat for lunch on
Inchmurrin.
Walk the paths, climb the surrounding hills, or learn about the history and
wildlife in The National Park. Lots of other lochs and hills to explore besides
Loch Lomond.
Golf

Within 10 miles there are five natural and beautiful courses set in stunning
scenery. Further afield there are, as in every corner of Scotland, many more,

too distant for a day’s visit Click

Charles
Rennie Mackintosh connections, the
Burrell Collection and the recently renovated
Kelvingrove Museum….art galleries, wonderful shops, new museums …and lots
more. Brilliant shopping, too!Glasgow

Stirling Castle and the
Wallace Monument. Enjoy Perth and
Scone
Palace. Glamis
